Right now: “take one action (Overcome, Create an Advantage, Attack, or Defend if fictionally proactive)…”
Suggest: “take one proactive action (Overcome, Create an Advantage, Attack). Defend is reactive—roll any time the fiction allows you to interfere or when a hazard hits you.” (You already describe reactive Defend just below; this avoids implying Defend is a normal turn action.)
Add a one-line “Proactive Defend” note.
After the Defend callout in Conflicts, add: “If you hold a line or actively block movement, the GM may let you roll Defend proactively to contest an Overcome/Create Advantage aimed through your space.” (Matches how you’re running “interfere” elsewhere.)
Zone movement mini-clarifier.
After “use your action to traverse multiple zones,” add: “Crossing two+ zones in one go usually requires Overcome; on a failure, you don’t complete the move or pay a cost.” (You imply this; making it explicit cuts questions.)
Contest hazard resolution sentence—lock a default.
You give two options (hazard vs side’s effort or Attribute saves). Add a default: “Default: compare the hazard’s roll to each side’s Overcome result; use saves only when the hazard strikes individuals directly.”
Capitalization consistency.
Use the same casing for game terms throughout: Skill, Aspect, Zone, Stress, Condition, Gift, Grace. (The draft is ~95% consistent; do a pass to capitalize Aspect/Skill uniformly.)
Cross-refs (fill “page XX”).
Places to link once pagination settles: Outcomes, Teamwork, Defend saves, Taking Harm, SELAH/Advancement, Stress & Conditions. (All the “see page XX” anchors exist—just ensure the final page numbers flow.)
